Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) is a non-invasive pain management therapy that uses low-voltage electrical currents to relieve discomfort. A TENS device delivers these currents through electrodes placed on the skin near the area of pain. The stimulation works by blocking pain signals from reaching the brain and stimulating the release of endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers. The benefits of TENS therapy include effective relief from chronic and acute pain, reduced reliance on medications, and enhanced muscle relaxation. It is commonly used to manage conditions such as arthritis, back pain, sports injuries, and nerve-related pain. Safe and easy to use, TENS therapy is a convenient option for pain relief. Clients are asked to conduct an Intake Interview with Lanette, by phone, prior to each session. A treatment plan is developed to the client's needs as they evolve.
